In an interview with Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ) student Desislava Ivanova, we discussed cell phone charging station opportunities in the metro-NY area.
Would you be interested in a free cell phone charging kiosk located in a cafe near your university, in a doctors office, in a restaurant? Which locations would you find most convenient?
“I would definitely be interested in a free cell phone charging station. I would prefer locations on campus, and if we are talking specifically about Hoboken – next to the Path station as well as anywhere on Washington St. in between 1st and 14th street.”
What makes the idea of a cell phone charging kiosk appealing to you?
I would be able to use my cell phone at times when I usually would have it turned off to save battery – it always seems like it dies at the moment when you most need it. If there were more opportunities to charge my cell phone, I would not have to worry about having a full battery every time I leave my apartment.
What do you think about the concept behind InCharged cell phone charging kiosks?
It is a great idea, I am sure people will make great use of it.
How often do you think you would use the free cell phone charging service?
Of course every time I need it, I would say at least 5-6 times a month.
